Our heart is to bring Jesus to Dover, Delaware and beyond. We are trusting our Father to show us how to minister to the hurting people of our city. We are a small church serving a big God Whose purposes and plans for His people are always good.
We stand in God’s love. We love one another. We are intent on loving our neighbors. We are praying for those God will add to our number.

Leadership
Larry Dyson
I am Pastor Larry Dyson, and I was born in southeastern Pennsylvania. I met my wife, Anne, at my home church in Wilmington, DE. Together, we relocated to Denver, CO, where I attended Denver Seminary. Before becoming accredited with the Christian & Missionary Alliance denomination in October 2023, I pastored Non-denominational and Baptist churches in Illinois, Iowa, and Maryland. We have three adult children and three grandchildren. I love CityHope Church and our community in Dover. I believe God has a purpose for us and the church to serve the hurting people in the area. Other interests include hiking, home projects, reading, writing, annual family reunions, and spending time with our family and friends.Location & Directions

CityHope Church is a forgiven and redeemed group of Christ-followers. We work to imitate Jesus Christ's loving and self-sacrificial example towards others, asking the Father and the Holy Spirit to teach us how to do that every day. We love to learn, so enjoy the Biblically researched and well-thought out sermons our Pastor, Larry Dyson, and other leaders present each Sunday. We love to fellowship and have fun on Christian movie night, sing-a-longs, pot luck get-togethers and more. We love to support missionaries in far-flung places in the world. We would love to meet and get to know you, too. Join us this Sunday to learn more about our wonderful church.
