What to Expect

What are services like?
Our primary goal on Sunday mornings is to LOVE GOD. We do this by singing songs to Him and learning more about Him and His Word through relevant, where-the-rubber-meets-the-road messages. We also worship together by giving back to God through weekly offerings and communion is observed several times throughout the year. The entire service is usually over no later than Noon. The style of music is contemporary and made up mostly of songs that you can hear on the radio. Artists such as Lincoln Brewster, Chris Tomlin and Hillsong frequent the line-up. We also incorporate "modernized" hymns because we value the timeless truths they contain. While our pastor typically wears Dockers and button-down shirts, there are as many styles of dress as there are ages in the congregation. Anything from a jacket and tie to jeans and flip flops find their place in the service. If you have children, our nursery is staffed with loving attendants who will be happy to care for your child so that you can be free from distraction. Following the music portion of the service, children in grades K-6 are dismissed to their own service called JAM (Jesus And Me) where they can learn about God in a fun, kid-friendly environment.

What is the community like?
We LOVE OTHERS by having Connection Groups on Sundays and throughout the week. Getting to know each other while exploring what God wants to say to us is foundational to ministry as a church body. Southeast is made up of a wide variety of ages and we think they are all necessary to have a healthy, active church. We gain wisdom and consistency from the older generation while the younger ones keep us motivated to grow and be examples worth following. We're seeking ways to SERVE THE WORLD as individuals, as Connection Groups and as a whole congregation. For too long churches have existed to meet their own needs. We've been guilty of that as well. But Christ has clearly instructed us to go out and serve Him by serving the world around us. Our focus is shifting from inward to outward and we're excited to see how God will use us.

What if I'm not a Christian?
Believe it or not, every church has people who are not Christians. What better place for a non-believer to be than in church! Everyone currently is, or has at one point in their life been searching, hurting and looking for acceptance. Southeast invites you to be a part of a loving church family who will accept you for who you are -- right now. It's not our job to "change" or "save" you. God wants us to love you, so that's what we do. Will the messages on Sunday make you uncomforable? Probably. Does it mean the pastor is preaching AT you? No. It means he loves you enough to share Truth with you and most of the time Truth make us all a little uncomfortable, and that's good. Will it kill you? Definitely not. And when you survive until the end of the service, if you have any questions or need to talk, our pastoral staff, as well as any other believer at Southeast, would love to help you find the answers.

The spiritual environment is uplifting and the members are welcoming. The Pastor delivers the Word that you can digest and meditate on later. The Church has young families and wise (older) members plus a variety of programs to improve your spiritual life. It truly is a Family Church. Also love that they minister outside the walls of the Church Building. A great place to learn of God’s grace and mercy. Love ❤️ ❤️❤️
