No matter where you come from, what you've done, what's been done to you, what you've been through (or what you're going through right now) the truest thing about you is that you belong to Jesus. We seek to love, and learn how to serve our increasingly diverse community as a sign that all the peoples of East Portland belong to Jesus. This is Access: Where anyone can know God.

Pastor Joel Sommer
As the son of a German/Jewish-American father, and a Filipina Immigrant mother, crossing cultures and bridging differences has been an unavoidable reality of Joel's life. He is planting Access because he is passionate about making places for folks who don't have a place; and because he loves celebrating the richness of many cultures coming together around the unusual story of Jesus. Besides Sabrina, his wife of nearly 10 years, and their 3 sons, the loves of his life are strong coffee, his yard, and the San Francisco Giants.Location & Directions
