About Us

At St. Luke, worship includes the gifts of God's Word and the meal we call the Lord's supper. We invite all people to the table, where we receive God's promises of love and forgiveness. In the Lord's Supper of bread and wine*, we are strengthened and renewed.
We invite you to come and see. Come in your jeans and work boots; come in your suit or skirt. Come with your questions, your celebrations and your concerns. Come experience God's presence with us.
( *grape juice is also offered)

What to Expect

What are services like?
We have two worship services: Saturday at 5:00p.m. and Sunday at 10:00a.m. The Sat. service is casual and more conversational; the music is primarly from the 80's, 90's and 2000's. We have weekly communion and on the fourth Sat. of each month the worship also includes prayers and laying on of hands for healing. Sunday moring is liturgical with contemporary and traditional music. Holy Communion is weekly with a healing service on the fifth Sunday of the month.

What is the community like?
Parkville and Hamilton are two neighborhoods in Northeastern Baltimore. The areas are residental with high numbers of single person households. About one quarter of the households in the neighborhoods have children.

What if I'm not a Christian?
You are invited to come and see...all are welcome here at St.Luke.

Leadership

Margaret E. Herz-Lane

Margaret E. Herz-Lane

Our pastor, the Rev. Margaret Herz-Lane, came to serve at St. Luke in Oct.tober, 2010 after serving in the Camden Lutheran Parsih in Camden, New Jersey for 29 years. She is therefore new to our congregation and to the Baltimore Community. About St. Luke she says, "This is a community of people who take seriously God's call for us to pray: for our families, friends and members but also for strangers that we meet. They thoughtfully and conciously pray for all who are in need."
