I don't know this church but my Husband, his uncle and my son were all named after PO Carpenter. My husbands mom and grandma and stepdad all knew him and said great things, My sons birthday was coming up so I was doing some research.

I was a member here in 1958 & 59. I was just a child. Rev. P. O. Carpenter was my pastor. He was the greatest preacher and soul winner I ever have ever known. Bro. Keys built this church almost exclusively with his own hands before that. He and Sister Keys were some of the most dedicated and sweetest folk that ever lived.
