About Us

Preaching the Word, Glorifying Christ, Upholding the Reformed Faith

Westminster Reformed Presbyterian Church is a congregation of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America (RPCNA) in located in Prairie View, IL. The "Reformed" in our name refers to our adherence to the biblical principles reasserted in the Protestant Reformation of the 16th and 17th centuries. Our spiritual heritage particularly comes from the Reformation in Scotland and the Scottish Covenanters. "Presbyterian" refers to our form of church government. Each congregation is under the oversight of a plurality of elders, who are also part of broader courts known as Presbyteries and Synod. Our heartfelt desire is to worship God according to His will, in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). We desire to glorify Him in our lives as individual Christians and as a body of believers united to Jesus Christ our Lord. What to Expect

What are services like?
We follow a Classic Reformed order of worship and sing the Psalms without instrumentation. The sermon is central and predominant in each service, proclaiming, explaining, and applying God's Word to the Christian life. The Sacrament of the Lord's Supper is administered on the first Sunday of each month. Guests are asked to meet with the Elders prior to the service if they desire to eat and drink at the Table. Please join us in worshiping the risen Christ each Sunday!

What is the community like?
We are a small, friendly, conservative congregation. We believe the Bible is the holy, inspired, and inerrant Word of God. We hold each other accountable to believing and living out what the Bible teaches. The Westminster Confession of Faith and the Westminster Larger and Shorter Catechisms are the standard of what we teach. The Reformed Christian faith is our passion and great comfort in Christ.

What if I'm not a Christian?
If you are looking for truth, we believe that we have it in the Bible as the Word of God. The aim of our ministry is to proclaim God's truth with faith that it will change people, ourselves included, as it has for over 2000 years now. Come hear the Good News of Jesus Christ and live out your faith with other sinners saved by grace!

    This church is a fantastic place for college students who are looking to get a deeper understanding of the Bible. Although the church is small, it is not lacking in people to have a conversations with. The people are amazing and always ready to support you, and there is always a home cooked meal for you.
