Having experienced firsthand the miraculous power of God’s grace and restoration, Mike Kai has spent the last twenty years relentlessly pursuing God’s best for his life. Now leading one of the largest and fastest growing churches in Hawaii, his desire to see people pursue their God-given mission compels him to push forward and advance the Kingdom of God. Born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii and then moving to Oahu, he started as a youth pastor at Hope Chapel Kaneohe Bay, under the leadership of Pastor Ralph Moore. In 2001, he was called to pastor Hope Chapel West Oahu, where his vision to build a church that was all about God and all about people was launched. The church began with just a small congregation of 40 members and has now grown to over 3,000 in weekly attendance. Mike continues to attract people who are seeking acceptance, healing, and a refreshing of the Holy Spirit. His heart to equip God’s saints and give them the tools to make a difference in their communities sparked the emergence of the Equip and Inspire Conferences. Attracting people not only from the islands, but also throughout the world. Send Hope International is another ministry that was birthed through Mike’s conviction to support and strengthen church-planters and missionaries alike. He has been responsible for the training and mentoring of leaders that have been sent out to Australia, Japan, Thailand and the Philippines. Mike Kai is a sought after speaker and leadership mentor throughout the United States and internationally. He and his wife, Lisa have been married for 18 years and have three beautiful daughters, Courtney, Rebekah, and Charis.
