What to Expect

What are services like?
We exist to be a contemporary extension of the Good News of Jesus Christ to our world and to help people find and fulfill God's purpose for their lives. The weekend services are filled with inspirational words that generate faith in Jesus Christ, hope to believe in the promises of God, experience to know the love of God and the passion to care about your neighbor. Vineyard Church has three weekend services that include children's and youth ministry. We also have Student Ministries Services: Youth - Wednesdays 7:00pm

What is the community like?
As you come in to the church, you will be invited to a free cup of coffee by our Cafe staff. The greeters at the door are friendly, informed and ready to answer any questions or they will direct you to the information kiosk. Our services are filled with lively music with original songs as well as music from Hill-Song, VineyardUSA and other contemporary artist. The teaching pastors create messages that hit at the heart of daily life and our world situations. Part of our Vineyard culture is our passion to help the needy through food donations and distribution to unfortunate families in the Hampton Road Communities.

What if I'm not a Christian?
Vineyard Church is a place where you will find community, diversity and the love of friends who care. Come as you are, dress is casual and practical. We are known for our acceptance and caring for the individual.

Andy & Sharon Meade

Andy & Sharon Meade

Andy was raised in Tucson, Arizona. While he was studying at the University of Arizona, he became interested in John Wimber through publications he was reading at the time. When he moved to Virginia in 1987, his soon to be wife, Sharon, was attending a Vineyard small group that was to become the first Vineyard in Virginia. Together they were the assistant pastors at that church until 1994 when he and Sharon decided to do their own church plant, Vineyard Community Church. Sharon and Andy have been married 23 years this April 8, 2012. Together they have three teenage boys, ages 18, 17 and 15. Andy's primary recreation is wakeboarding, snowboarding and handball (and a little golf). Andy has a Facebook page that you can visit at http://www.facebook.com/#!/AndyJMeade or you can follow him on Twitter @andymeade.
