About Us

Spirit-filled and Triuphant; Visit become a friend, stay and become family

A small, but growing Pentecostal church in Carlisle, Pennsylvania (Pa) with a strong missions outreach and a big heart. Victory Tabernacle is the mother church of the Vineyard Tabernacle Fellowship. We as a congregation are blessed to be among those that believe in the modern day outpouring of the Holy Spirit and to witness His moving in our services and in our everyday lives, through the operation of all the gifts of the Spirit. (ie. Prophesying, healing, speaking in unknown tongues...) However, we also believe there must be an order to things, for God does not condone chaos.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Music is a big part of our worship, we begin with congregational songs and then several folks are asked to sing specials. Expect hand raising, clapping, crying, praising. One of our Preachers or teachers will speak for 20 min to 45 min. Expect to hear amens and to see hands raised. Afterwards we enter into a time of prayer and worship, either at your pew or at the altar. This is a special time. Expect crying, hand raising, speaking in tongues, and outward expressions by those being touched by the presence of God. After the dismissal prayer, many folks linger to fellowship with one another in the sanctuary or in the vestibule. Our Preachers and teachers are not afraid to let God take control of the service. When the Holy Spirit comes to minister, they step aside. Often the moving is so great that our Preachers and teachers lay aside what they prepared to share with the congregation.

What is the community like?
We are family; some by blood and some by spirit. When one is in need, Heaven is bombarded with our prayers. While the average age among our family members is 55, we also have several young families and teens that regularly attend.

What if I'm not a Christian?
We welcome everyone; regardless of race, nationality or creed. We will not condemn anyone, but instead will leave it up to the Spirit of God to draw a soul to Himself. We will not embarrass anyone or ask them to do something they do not want to do. Participation in our services is a personal choice. No one is required to raise their hands, pray at altar time, or even to sing. But we are firm believers that one will get the most out of a service, if one enters in. If during a service, someone wishes to become a Christian, there are many people that are waiting to pray with and for them.
