What's the worship service / music like?
Our services are warm and relaxed. We sing modern and traditional songs led by a live band. On most Sundays, you'll hear a blurb about a community or outreach event. Visit vbcchapel.org to hear sermons.

Leadership
Rich Hardison
Rich Hardison, was born in North Carolina, but was reared in Norfolk, growing up at Tabernacle Church of Norfolk. He attended Norfolk Christian High School. During his teens he worked at the Triple R Ranch where he met his wife, Kathy. He graduated from Old Dominion University earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 1970 and a Master’s degree in Counseling in 1979. His Biblical training was from Denver Theological Seminary. Rich worked for five years with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship prior to becoming the Associate Pastor of Tab in 1974. He became Senior Pastor in 1990. In 2007, Pastor Rich stepped away from the Senior Pastorate to focus on missions, small group ministry, and Tab’s ministry to international students. Rich’s wife, Kathy, serves as a strategic member of the Tab’s missions leadership team as Director of Ministry to International Students. Rich and Kathy have two grown children, Janel and Zach. In May of 2009, the Lord called Rich to accept the role of Senior Pastor of the Virginia Beach Community Chapel. Rich has been used by the Lord to serve on several boards including Covenant Counseling Services, Hampton Roads School of Biblical Studies (Chairman), Norfolk Christian Schools, Triple R Ranch and World Team (Chairman).Location & Directions
