What to Expect

What are services like?
Our service last about 90 minutes. We glorify God through worship, fellowship, prayer, and teaching from the Word of God. We practice exegetical preaching, which means we teach directly from the Bible, explaining its original meaning and how it applies to our lives today. Our Kids Ministry has a service specifically designed for their age that is both engaging and safe. We desire that your kids grow in their understanding of God and we do that through engaging and fun teaching.

What is the community like?
When you arrive at Upcountry Church, you can expect warm smiles and a lot of friendly faces. Be sure to park in our designated visitor parking spaces. Our volunteers can be found wearing bright green lanyards and are always available to help. Please be sure and fill out a Welcome Card so we can connect with you! Getting involved at Upcountry Church starts with Meet & Eat, a casual lunch where new visitors can connect with our pastoral staff and learn more about who we are. From there, we invite you to attend Next Steps, a gathering designed to help you explore our mission, beliefs, and opportunities to serve. Whether you're looking to join a ministry, find a small group, or discover where God is calling you, Next Steps will guide you in taking your next step in faith and community. We Believe The Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God and the authoritative rule of faith and conduct. That there is only one true God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His atoning death, His bodily resurrection and His ascension to the right hand of the Father. In the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in power and glory. In the baptism in the Holy Spirit, empowering Christians to live a godly life and carry out the great commission. That all people are lost sinners and must turn to Christ through repentance and saving faith, and by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, being justified by grace through faith, man becomes an heir of God, according to the hope of eternal life. The Church is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of her great commission. That the resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord is the imminent and blessed hope of the church.

What if I'm not a Christian?
Come as you are! Some people dress casually, while others wear more traditional Sunday attire. We want you to feel comfortable.
