About Us

We are an ELCA Lutheran church, love to worship God with a variety of music styles , serve God with several outreach ministries, including a food bank & clothing closet, a community garden & a weekly community lunch And a community garden. We worship Sunday morning @ 10 a.m. We worship with traditional format, but with a variety of music, contemporary & traditional, and from a variety of cultures. Communion is celebrated each week. All Christians (you need not be Lutheran!) are welcome to commune. On the first Sunday of the month, a healing prayer station is available for those who wish. Third Sunday is potluck Sunday. Our many ministries include quilting for Lutheran World Relief, a food bank and a weekly community lunch that is free to all.

What to Expect

What are services like?
relaxed but reverent. traditional liturgy often done to contemporary tunes & instrumentation. "Blended" worship in terms of music styles. An fun & exciting multigenerational family hour occurs monthly during the school year on Sunday evenings, just prior to the evening worship service. It includes a meal, Christian education for kids from toddlers to teens & great fellowship.

What is the community like?
Primarily middle age & up, mostly white, but with joyful anticipation of diversity which reflects the neighborhood in which we are situated. We love children, enjoy service projects that impact locally as well as globally. We are always eager to learn more & more about what God says to us in his Word, both in worship & in Bible study.

What if I'm not a Christian?
All are welcome in this place! Participate at whatever level you feel comfortable; feel free to ask questions; we won't "push" Jesus on you -- we'd simply like to introduce Jesus to you & facilitate a relationship between the two of you in whatever way you see fit.
