Our Services

What are services like?
Services begin with an Introit, Invocation and Welcome. The welcome period involves a friendly time to move about and shake hands, hug, or otherwise connect with fellow worshipers. The congregation then sings two songs, one a more contemperory song for children followed by an opening hymn from the hymnal. A Pastoral Prayer, usually with a call for prayer requests follows. Then scripture is read followed by a children's story and lambs offering. The regular offering for the Sabbath is taken. Then we usually have special music followed by a Biblically based message from God's Word. The service finishes with another hymn and benediction. After the service many go to the fellowship hall for a time of refreshment and visitation.

What is the community like?
People are friendly and cover all economic, racial and social classes. Many regular attenders are not members as yet but find the church a welcoming environment to which the desire to return on a weekly basis. There are opportunities to help in service to the community through the monthly clothing give a way usually held on the fourth Sunday of any given month. An active group in the church participates in Share Him Evangelistic events that are scheduled throughout the year.

What if I'm not a Christian?
No Christians are welcome to join with the church in its worship and activities. We hope to extend to then the welcome and consideration Jesus would give if He were physically present. Our atmosphere is, however, unapologetically Christ centered and we expect that such visitors will be respectful of our emphasis and belief in Jesus as the one true Lord and Savior of the World. It is always our hope that they will find life and hope in our presence.
