Union Presbyterian Church

My great grandparents and their eldest daughter, were founding members of this lovely church in about 1900. Whenwe had a family reunion there in 2009 we all gathered there and had lunch in the room behind the sanctuary. A representative from GE came to show us photos from the GE archives of family members who had been involved in the establishment of that company in Schenectady. My great grandfather, Henry W. Darling, had been its first treasurer. I am deeply saddened to see that this church has closed. I hope for the sake of the community that another use can be found for the building!
