Who We Are

TIBC is an international southern baptist church that has a mission to make disciples of peoples of all nations and ethnicities. We worship together as one body united in Christ, and believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead, so that we may have salvation, a free gift. Ted Lam

Rev. Ted Lam came to the United States in 1961, and completed his undergraduate studies and his graduate work in applied mathematics at University of Nebraska. He worked as a computer programmer from 1968 to 1976, then as a senior consultant from 1976 until he retired in 1995. In 1989, Lam surrendered to ministry and completed his theological degree from Oklahoma Baptist University. He then served as the Language Mission Specialist for the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma (BGCO), and founded the Tulsa International Baptist Church. Rev. Lam also served on the Board of Directors for BGCO. Rev. Lam recently retired from the position of the Director of Church Planting for BGCO, but is currently still serving BGCO as the Outreach Team Consultant. Rev. Lam previously supported various international ministries at Northwest Baptist Church and All Nations Church in Oklahoma City, and currently is Senior Pastor here at New Tulsa International Baptist.
