What to Expect

What are services like?
On the first and third Sundays we celebrate Holy Communion (setting 1 in ELW if that means something to you!) and on the second and fourth Sundays we do a Service of the Word. We are a rather traditional Lutheran church with an effort to do more blended style worship as we are able. Our Saturday services are a casual worship service that is always centered on Holy Communion. The Saturday services have all the parts printed in one bulletin to follow along. Our Sunday services include a bulletin so you can follow along in the hymnal -- or you can follow the service on the screens in the front of the church.

What is the community like?
We are family focused and multi-generational. We work with the local food pantry and house a clothing closet that does two large open houses during the year and can be accessed via an appointment as needed. There are two adult classes that meet during the Sunday School hour and then special studies on occasion. Our Sunday School for K-6 is based on a rotational model with different units each year. We have classes for 2 year olds and up. There is a 7th and 8th grade class and a High school class as well. We usually have 60-80 children at Sunday School each week.

What if I'm not a Christian?
You are still welcome to come and explore your faith here. Pastor Jen Herrmann is a trained spiritual director and would love to meet with you anytime. (You needn't be a Christian to do Spiritual Direction)
