Who We Are

We are a movement of real and regular people who love God and want to be the church Jesus had in mind. All people are welcome. We have met in a YMCA for ten years because we would rather invest ourselves in the heart of our community than sequester ourselves in some ornate building that people might be afraid to enter. No matter your beliefs or your past you WILL be welcome here. A lot of churches say, "Come as you are." We mean it.

Our Services

What are services like?
75 minutes. Band-driven. Sometimes loud and rocking, sometimes quiet and reflective. Always creative. A transparent and relevant talk makes the Bible simple to understand and applicable the next morning.

What is the community like?
Amazingly warm and friendly. A huge heart to serve. Numerous opportunities to plug in and serve or learn. The pastor is readily accessible throughout the week.

What if I'm not a Christian?
Threshold is a safe place to ask hard questions. You will NOT be judged. We welcome ALL people from every background and walk of life. We do our best to be Jesus to others, not a judgmental or hypocritical institution. We will meet you where you are because God has met us where we are.

Dr. Jeff Gardner

Jeff graduated from the University of North Carolina with a degree in Religious Studies. He has also earned two post-graduate degrees, both with honors. He communicates the Bible clearly in ways that are simple to understand. And unlike many church pastors, Jeff is always available if you have questions or need direction. Jeff has been married to Michelle since 1985. They have two college-age children.
