A church seeking God's presence!
We were founded in 1986 as a church seeking the presence of God. David and Darlene Akers were the founding pastors. Pastor David went home to be with the Lord in 2003 at which time his son Marcus was installed as Pastor. In 2011 Pastor Marcus reached to extend the arms of the ministry and is currently in Virginia. Justin Akers was at that time installed as the church's third pastor. He is now leading the church into this new season with passion and expectation along with his mother Darlene, brothers Shawn and Marcus, and a committed group of God seeking believers.

Leadership
Justin Akers
Justin Akers was born and raised in ministry as his family made church their life. After graduating high school, Just moved from Louisiana to Tulsa, OK at 17 years old to intern for a youth ministry. God's path for Justin's life led him from Tulsa back to Louisiana where he worked at The Upper Room Church as well as held other jobs. After Justin found the mate God had for him, he and his wife, Shawna moved back to Tulsa to attend Oral Roberts University. In 2003, Justin and Shawna moved back to Louisiana to work with his family in ministry at the Upper Room Church Ministries. Justin was installed as Pastor in 2011 and is leading the church into a new season with passion and expectation!
