a different kind of church

About Us

In 2007 a group of Christ-followers got together to start a church for people who weren't into church. The idea was to help families in our community find some solutions to the chaos of their lives. As a result, we meet together at the Perry YMCA on the FIRST and THIRD Sundays. That's right, we give you two Sundays per month back! Come discover how you can experience Jesus in a fresh and new way...minus all the churchy stuff.

What to Expect

What are services like?
We meet at the Perry Family YMCA and our gatherings are come-as-you are. We start by singing together with the whole family, then the kids go to their church and junior high - adults stay together. The teaching is bible-based with an understanding that all of us are less than perfect but more than welcome. The music is coffee-house acoustic and we observe communion at each gathering.

What is the community like?
We have youngs, olds and lots of in-between. We are a suburban church dealing with suburban issues that face families of all sorts - blended, broken and just battered.

What if I'm not a Christian?
We've all been there and have experienced less than stellar church experiences. We want every person, no matter where they land on the faith spectrum to feel like our church is a safe place to come and worship with us. At any worship gathering, everyone is free to participate in every aspect of the worship gathering.

Brad Gartman

I am simply a husband, father and pastor finding myself in the middle of more questions than answers on this journey of following Jesus. I have discovered that Jesus is the center of everything – the way he lived, who he spent his time with and how he treated those around him. My mission – our mission – is to follow Jesus into the places where we live, work and play and begin to think, act and be more like him.

What Members Say

Heidi shared their experience Dec 2012

We get great biblical teaching at Church at the Springs. Everyone loves you exactly as you are. There is a great sense of community among the members. We enjoyed attending the first annual camping trip this year. And we like that we can give back to the community by partnering with local charities and people in need.

Chris shared their experience Dec 2012

The Church at the Springs is a place where people feel accepted and hear the truth about Jesus.
