The District Church

The District Church is a non-denominational Christian church in Washington, D.C. In the spring of 2010 a small group of people began to gather to dream about what it would look like for a church to exist for the sake of the city. So many people move to this city to change the world, yet so few have community once they arrive.

On some levels, the city is a place of contradictions. It is the most educated city in the country and yet has some of the lowest performing public schools. It's the capital of the richest country in human history and yet has one of the highest poverty rates.

At The District Church we want to be a church that helps pastor the world changers that move here while also coming alongside those who are on the outskirts of society. We want to be a community that is actively helping people find their way back to God while also helping them find their God given mission in life.
