What to Expect

What are services like?
The attire is casual and the congregation is friendly. We usually have a few songs up front. They are updated with modern music but usually have historic or biblical lyrics. Children provide the percussion for the music part and then may be excused for children's church before the sermon, but are also absolutely welcome to stay. Sermon's last about half an hour and focus on teaching the Bible and applying it. All the passages point back to Jesus so we always end with that focus as we take communion, offering, and continue in singing. Often the different community groups will go out for brunch afterwards.

What is the community like?
There are a handful of different pockets. There are often students from the three Erie universities. There are a number of young families and young professionals. Being downtown brings in foot traffic from the different options around our space which really ranges from week to week.

What if I'm not a Christian?
We are a great place to explore what the Bible says and what it means. We offer community groups that meet in people's houses, often over or after a meal and it offers a very welcoming environment to ask questions. Our community groups all have a number of people that don't attend the church (or any church) but do attend the groups. We find it very important to have relationships with those who are not Christians.
