The Church of Charlottesville

New Testament, Reformed, Baptistic, Family-Integrated, Passionate and Pure Charlottesville, VA

Who We Are

The Church of Charlottesville is endeavoring to create a New Testament Vision For The Modern Day Church. We seek to follow the Apostolic foundation of New Testament churches. This includes the principles and practices...the form and the function...the teachings and traditions given to us by the Apostles and the New Testament writers.

We are praying for others to come alongside of us in this endeavor. Families, Couples and Singles that want to be a part of an intimate, theologically sound, distinct, God honoring, local Body of Christ. If interested, please feel free to contact us to set up a time to meet or talk on the phone.

Our Services

What are services like?
We currently gather in a home. There is order, but there is freedom as well. We open in prayer, read the Psalms, sing a variety of songs, pray, hear prayer requests and testimonies, men can share a teaching (following the biblical command, women do not teach, give the appearance of teaching or question the teaching or decisions of the Elders), children can recite scripture and pray as well. We are Family-Integrated, meaning we don't shove our kids off to a nursery or "children's church." We have a teaching time, which is either expository or topical. Then we share the Lord's Supper (which is the main reason why a body of believers is to gather) and have a fellowship meal. Afterwards, the children play and the adults talk.

What is the community like?
We are currently four families with a combined 11 children ages 1-16. Adults from their mid-20's to 50.

What if I'm not a Christian?
You are absolutely welcome providing you are not coming to disturb, interrupt, make fun of or challenge. If you are truly seeking, have honest questions, want to explore genuine Christianity, then please contact us.
