Leadership
Abiel Hernandez
Abiel is a native of Texas, where he graduated from Lubbock High School in 1977. He attended Levelland Junior College and Texas Tech University. He graduated from Video Technical Institute in 1982 as a video technician, with an associate degree in Electronics. From 1982 to 1985 he worked as an electronic technician and manager for X-change TV, Inc. in Dallas, TX. From 1985 to 1993 he was service manager for Hollywood overhead door company in Dallas, TX. In 1994 he was appointed the Coordinator for Hispanic ministries for the Dallas District Church of the Nazarene. He was the Executive Director for Restoration Community in Dallas, which is a non-profit organization for urban housing and development from 1995 till 2002. He served on the board for Hispanic ministries USA/Canada for the Church Of The Nazarene. Abiel came to York in 2001. He graduated from Williamson Bible Institute and is the lead Pastor of our Urban Campus and leads the Celebrate Recovery Program. He is an Elder in the Church of the Nazarene and a registered Police Chaplin.Location & Directions
