State Street United Methodist Church
Celebrating the faith. Strengthening the family. Serving the community.
About Us
We call State Street UMC "the church worth finding," because it's NOT on State Street. Founded in 1856, the church was in downtown Bristol, Virginia, for about one hundred years before moving to our present location on Valley Drive, just across from Virginia High School.
There's something for everyone here--contemporary, traditional, children, youth, older adults, music of all kinds, studies for all ages and interests.
Our newest ministry effort is Recovery Bristol, a ministry for people recovering from all kinds of life hurts. One of our taglines is "life hurts, God heals."
Come share your faith journey with us here at State Street.
