About Us

Striving to bring the Gospel alive to the lost and discouraged.

SNC is s just a group of plain old folks in love with Jesus Christ, trying to reach our community with the Gospel of Christ. We are a "come as you are" church. There is no dress code or any expectations other than having an open mind and open heart to the moving of the Holy Spirit!

We are a Church of the Nazarene, which is a Holiness Denomination, that ascribes to the Wesleyan Doctrines (Much like the Methodist Church). For more details, visit our website at www.stanfordchurchofthenazarene.com

What to Expect

What are services like?
Our services are a mix of traditional hymns, contemporary, and Southern Gospel and the message is brought from the Bible. The hope is that the services will be both a source of encouragement and challenge to all who attend to come into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and live their lives in service to His Kingdom by sharing the Gospel with others!

What is the community like?
Stanford is a small "hometown America" community. It is a very friendly and laid back town that operates on a slower pace of life rather than the hustle and bustle of the big city. Our church shares that same culture, but takes matters of faith very seriously. We would love to have you join us for one of our services!

What if I'm not a Christian?
All of us have been at that place at one point in our life. We have all had to come to the realization that we are apart from Christ. Once we come to that realization and realize that we need a Savior and Christ is that Savior, then it is as simple as asking Him to forgive us of our sins, believing (in our heart and not just in our head) that He has the power to forgive sin and does forgive us, and following Him with all our heart, mind, and soul. Once you've done that you have taken the first step. Also, I would urge, encourage, implore that you find a Bible Believing Church and get "plugged in" for Spiritual Growth and support. God has a plan for each of us and through the Church is how that is put into action!
