Leadership

The Rev. Dr. Steve Danzey

Fr. Steve is a native of the great state of South Carolina, and before his big move to the Midwest, he served several Baptist and Episcopal churches across Texas and Alabama. Fr. Steve earned his B.A. in history and religion from Samford University, Birmingham, Alabama, and his M.Div and Ph.D from Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. He has been a professor of religion, philosophy, and biblical studies at several colleges in Alabama and Texas. Fr. Steve loves sailing om Lake Michigan and biking on the lakefront path. He lives in Uptown and welcomes any excuse to go out for coffee or a Smithwick’s Irish Ale. Don’t be surprised if you hear exclamations of Roll Tide! on Sunday afternoons coming from Fr. Steve, as he is a huge Alabama football fan!

Shane Gormley shared their experience Jan 2020

Hello! I'm Shane, the current priest at Saint Peter's in Chicago. You are welcome here. I simply wanted to update the information on this site (I'm not entirely sure how), because we're currently worshiping a block south while we renovate and reconfigure our building. It's a very exciting time for us, and we'd love to have you along with us. Find out more on our website, www.stpeterschicago.com.
