St Peter Lutheran Church
Who and whose we are...
About Us
Our servant ministry to one another and the community has been enriched through the gifts of many devoted members, faithful teachers, gifted youth leaders, talented musicians, and some sixteen pastors during our two centuries as God’s church in this community.
As we celebrated the congregation’s bicentennial in 2005, we looked at who we are. We have been, are now, and always will be, members of the same community of disciples and servants of Christ. We hold the Holy Bible to be the inspired Word of God and the rule of faith by which we live. We celebrate the Lord’s Supper together as baptized children of God. We reach out to serve others in God’s name through numerous ministries and with a holy hospitality that befits a house of God. We then say for the past, “We thank thee,” for the present, “Do we please thee?” and for the future, “How may we serve thee?”.
