St Patrick Parish

About Us

St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Council Bluffs, Iowa offers daily and weekend mass service.

St. Patrick’s Church was founded in 1924 as the fourth parish in Council Bluffs, a St. Patrick’s school was built and decades later merged into St. Albert’s schools, major renovations on the inside and outside of the church occurred, and now the turn of the next century, a new church is being built to serve the over 850 registered families. The site of the new location is positioned at the corner of Valley View Drive and College Rd, situated across from the Iowa Western Community College campus and College View Elementary. Details on the new church can be viewed on the Building Project page.

Let it not be said that there is a lack of ways to stay involved in the parish. There are activities for young and old, men and women. The Knights of Columbus, Serra Club, and Catholic Daughters of America are all well-established national organizations in the parish. The Women’s Book Club and That Man is You are both recently adopted faith formation groups. There is also RCIA for prospective Catholics and numerous events throughout the year for children. Lay Ministries are also an excellent method of being involved in the Mass service whether Altar Serving, Cantoring, Lecturing, Ushering, or Eucharistic Ministry.
