About Us

St. Matthew's has recently built the "Greenist Church in the Valley". The new church has been designed so that the entire facility can be used during the day without turning on a light switch. The exterior of the church is covered with an additional 2 inch layer of insulation for reduction of heating and cooling.
St. Matthew's has reached out to the local community by allowing its facility to host: Family Therapy of Albuquerque; Women's AA, PFLAG, Valencia Civitan Club, Children's Theater, and even Piano Recitals.
St. Matthew's is very involved with Prison Ministry and is hosting a statewide Prison Ministry Workshop/Fair to be held on June 8th, 2013. The church has also participated in Angel Tree for several years.
We have been very involved in supporting The Blessed Mustard Seed Babies Home in Hoima, Uganda.
When you come to be a part of us you will learn that, "We are here for the people who do not yet belong to the Body of Christ."

What to Expect

What are services like?
We are a liturgical church that incorporates as much of the Book of Common Prayer into our worship as possible. We do not rush our time together but are very much aware of the presence of God with us by His Word and Holy Spirit.

What is the community like?
The people of St. Matthew's are from all walks of life. We are reverent, and we have fun. We are repentent and we are joyful. We are the Light at the Hill, Come and See!

What if I'm not a Christian?
Our doors are open and we would welcome you to come and see why it is that we are so joyful about Our Lord Jesus Christ.
