What are services like?
Worship at St. Matthew Lutheran Church is liturgical but also informal. “Liturgical” means that we follow a set pattern of worship every service - a pattern that has its roots in scripture and the ancient church. Each service is crafted to be educational, inspiring, creative, and authentic to our church's heritage and beliefs.
What is the community like?
Authentic, welcoming, imperfect, grace-filled, humble, down-to-earth, multigenerational, joyful
What if I'm not a Christian?
All people are welcome to worship at St. Matthew. We appreciate opportunities to learn from people who have different opinions and beliefs (after all, we're all different and we all have much to share with one another). Belief in God and Jesus is not a rational decision or intellectual achievement; but rather a gift (which we call the Holy Spirit) that is freely given to people who need hope, forgiveness, and peace. We do not have "altar calls" or other ways of pressuring visitors and folks who do not believe.
