About Us

Celebrating God's Love and Forgiveness, We Serve Others.

We welcome everyone to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church where individuals and families can grow in their relationship with Jesus and one another through a variety of worship styles, ministries and services. We are Christians, a Lutheran denomination of the Protestant faith. We offer services in English and in Spanish and we also have Glory Lutheran with services in Mandarin Chinese and Areumdaun Church (which means beautiful in Korean) provides Korean language worship. We are members of the ECLA the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America

Our Mission Statement is ”Celebrating God’s Love and Forgiveness, we serve others.”

Our Vision Statement is ”Following Jesus’s example we feed the hungry, clothe the naked, welcome the stranger, nurse the sick and visit the imprisoned as we see Jesus in the faces of those we serve.”

Our Core Values are Prayer, Accessibility, Service, Communication, Education, Worship, Youth, Healthy Relationships

Since 1955, St. Mark’s has been a Chula Vista fixture on the corner of Hilltop and “I” Street. For over half a century St. Mark’s has endeavored to be a gift to the Hilltop neighborhood as a place of worship, support and caring. And as the church moves into the new millennium it continues to think of new ways to benefit local schools, families and businesses through God’s love and generosity. St. Mark’s is open to all and would be honored by your visit.
