Who We Are

Serving Christ at the Cross+Roads

St. Mark's has been serving Christ at the Cross+Roads" since 1849. Founded by the students and faculty of nearby St. James School, our Church has a special mission to Youth, and a unique approach to teaching and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. We offer a gentle, approachable spirituality that respects your mind and your heart, and leads to many opportunities for service in our community and around the world.

What to Expect

What are services like?
We offer three services every Sunday and one on Wednesday morning. On Sundays the early 7:45 service in the historic Church is quiet, traditional and contemplative. The 9 AM service in Dorsey Hall is contemporary, inter-generational, child-friendly and features both traditional and contemporary music. The 11 AM service in the historic Church offers traditional music, choir, sermon and classic Episcopal liturgy.

What is the community like?
We are situated at a country crossroad, but folks drive an average of 20 minutes to attend services because of the variety, atmosphere and feeling of being accepted. We put our energies into excellent teaching for all ages, sponsor yearly mission trips for Youth and offer pastoral care for all.

What if I'm not a Christian?
One of our "core values" is to welcome seekers. If you are looking for a church that is not overbearing, welcomes doubters and your questions, and offers a community that does not judge you according to the labels of society, try St. Mark's!
