St Luke's on the Lake Episcopal Church
Who We Are
“God calls us to be a community in Christ and to be Christ to the world.”
Who we are... Set high on the cliffs of Lake Travis in Austin, Texas, St. Luke’s on the Lake Episcopal Church is known far and wide as "The Church With The View". We invite you to come and see for yourself.
Founded over 50 years ago as a mission church in a bait shop near Anderson Mill Road, St. Luke's has grown into a dedicated congregation of over 400 families, of all ages and stages of life. We know God’s vision for us goes far beyond our view. You may come for the view…and end up staying for the family. That is our prayer.

Michael Wyckoff
Rector
Father Mike is committed to the Great Commission given by Jesus in Matthew 28:19,"...go forth therefore and make all nations my disciples..." He believes the local parish is the most effective avenue for this evangelism, and wishes to build on St. Luke's vision of becoming "a community in Christ and Christ to the world." As the Rector, he is the primary preacher of our parish. He also teaches in-depth courses on Scripture on Sunday mornings.
