The Episcopal Diocese of Alabama's newest parish, St. Catherine's is a warm and welcoming community of Christians dedicated to living Christ's love in our community.



Our Services

Service Times

Sunday
  • 10:30am - Traditional Episcopal/ Anglican worship with choir, organ, and Holy Communion.
  • 05:00pm - First Sunday of each month, an alternative, casual, family friendly service with Holy Communion.
Wednesday
  • 07:00pm - A short Evening Prayer service based on ancient monastic traditions.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Worship follows the ancient liturgy of the Episcopal/ Anglican tradition, updated for relevance and language. Holy Communion is celebrated at most services with Bible readings and beautiful, meaningful prayers.

What is the community like?
The St. Catherine's community is a good mixture of young families, middle-aged members, seniors, and lots of kids. The words most often used to describe St. Catherine's by our treasured guests are "friendly" and "welcoming.

What if I'm not a Christian?
Everyone is welcome at St Catherine's. Questions are welcome and encouraged.

John Mark Ford

A 2006 graduate of The School of Theology, Sewanee with a Masters of Divinity degree, John Mark was ordained priest the same year. He is married to Charlene Ford, an attorney, and together they have four grown sons and one grandson.
