Who We Are

A True Community Church

St. Anna’s is a reconciling fellowship that bring diverse peoples into one house to worship Jesus as Lord and to begin to understand the vast tapestry that is God's good creation. As we say, "All are welcomed, none are shunned." The bedrock of the soul and life of St. Anna's is open and welcoming hospitality as well as mission in action. Our worship is Anglo Catholic in ceremony seeking the mystery that is God. Join us today and experience the mystery and meaning of Christ in action.

What to Expect

What are services like?
When you visit St. Anna's the principal worship service reacquires the ancient practices yet is still accessible and in many ways very laid back. We do not care how you dress but that you pray with us and celebrate the Holy Mysteries. The music is a blend of traditional, gospel, and contemporary to reach all peoples. The style of worship is distinctly Anglo Catholic with the rosary being prayed before Sunday worship but we are not pretenders we are what we are. "All are welcomed none are shunned."

What is the community like?
The faith community is urban and diverse representing a broad range of peoples from LGBT to straight; from elders to young adults; black, white, brown, our community reflects our environment where peoples in all manner of social location find themselves share the common cup of salvation and the work of Jesus in our surrounding neighborhoods of Treme, French Quarter, Bywater, Marigny, St. Roch and beyond.

What if I'm not a Christian?
You are welcomed to come and to bear witness to a faith community in action. We walk the talk and who knows maybe, just maybe, the Spirit of the Living God may enter your heart. You are welcomed. This is a "seekers church" among its principal attributes.
