The vision of South Community Church is simple, we are all about "connecting people to God and each other through genuine community". SCC was founded on the inspiration that community is the lifeblood of human beings and it's a gift God has given us. Yeah we know it's not a new concept, just a concept we all have wired in our DNA. Jesus wanted community for us and we at South Community Church desire community for each and every one of you. That's every age group finding like minded and like hearted people to grow old with. South Community Church will be extremely intentional about finding community for each person that comes through our doors.

But not only that, we believe that within this community we’re challenged to live a Spirit filled life. How do we know? 1 John 3:24 says, “Those who obey His commands live in Him, and He in them. And this is how we know that He lives in us: We know it by the Spirit He gave us.” That’s why we’re so excited! The Savior Jesus gave us His Spirit to live a life that’s joyful and exhilarating, not routinely average.

We believe that when Jesus ascended into heaven, the Holy Spirit is what He left us. That's the bottom line. And all too often we don't live with that power, that wisdom, that guidance, and that comfort! It's time for us as God's children to realize the power that was left for us.

What to Expect

What are services like?
SCC opens at 10:00am for donuts, coffee, soft drinks, juice, and water. Come and spend some time catching up on the week or come early to check out the facility. Service times are Sunday at 10:30am for the Main Worship Experience (Main Auditorium) and SOUTHKiDs. Feel free to come as you are and dress casually. You will see a diverse group of ages & ethnicities all coming to connect with God and each other through genuine community. There is a Guest Relations table right as you come in where we would love to meet you and connect with your family. All first time friends will receive a complimentary South Community Church coffee mug and are invited to our Eat and Greet lunch immediately after church in the Cafe'. During the worship service you will engage in modern worship with songs from artists such as Chris Tomlin, David Crowder, & Hillsong United as well as dynamic Biblical teaching meant to inspire and encourage you. Community Groups for adults will meet throughout the week in a variety of locations. Check out our Community Groups Page to find out more! What is the community like?
Community Groups for adults meet throughout the week in a variety of locations. It's as simple as consistently getting together, eating, praying for each other, and breaking down God's Word He gave us. We all need this! From the 2 yr old boy who can't wait to hang out with the boys in the culd-a-sac, to the retired executive who is searching for what's next. We all desire and need community. Groups times and locations vary.

What if I'm not a Christian?
SCC is welcoming of both believers and non-believers. Come expected to be welcomed and loved on regardless of where you are in your faith journey.
