Sheridan Road Baptist Church

I was introduced to Jesus at this church in the 80s sharp and Sanders family......big part of my life I'm so greatful for all the time we spent there ......our bus driver was "butterball bill" I'll never forget...thank you so much

It must have been in 1954, at the age of ten, that I went down to the alter and was saved under Dr J Frank Davis, the pastor.

In the mid 50’s, my dad (Doyle Edward Simpson/ Pete),was a deacon at Sheridan Rd Baptist church. Back in those days, the deacons might be standing out a side door smoking then when it was time for services they’d pass around the little red packet of Sen-Sen ( like today's tick-tack.) I remember brother Davis. I was saved and Baptized there. I was very young but remember how good a preacher he was and you for sure did not fall asleep during his sermons. He could wake you up in a heart beat. I remember a young lady who played piano and may have been Bro. Davis’ daughter or kin but I think her name was Marlene and she was so pretty. I think her husband maybe played trumpet occasionally. Great memories
