We are the Christian Church- Disciples of Christ, a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world. As part of the one body of Christ we welcome all to the Lord’s Table as God has welcomed us. We are governed by our congregation leaders, organized to promote the work of the Church and to advance God's Kingdom. We’re not perfect: we are family, a community of flawed, ordinary real people. What to Expect

What are services like?
You’ll be welcomed into a friendly, casual environment by people who are excited to see you. You may come dressed or casual, but be comfortable and ready for worship. A typical Sunday worship service begins at 11:30am and lasts about 1½- 2 hours.

What is the community like?
SPCC is a mature and intense congregation, with an intentional history of tolerance and diversity. Our services are generally traditional, leaning towards the contemporary. We have a little something for everyone! The Bible-based messages are inspiring, thought-provoking and engaging. Uplifting music which consists of a mixture of traditional hymns and contemporary worship songs. Holy Communion is served every Sunday.

Greetings to all new members, friends, guests, and visitors to our services. We sincerely would like for you to feel welcome and comfortable as you start discovering us, long before you set foot in our building. We just want to let you know that we care about you.

Terri McLellan
Senior Pastor

On November 12, 2018, Rev. Terri McLellan was elected to serve as the Senior pastor of the Shepherd Park Christian Church (SPCC). She is the first woman to lead the congregation in its over 120-year history. Her theological training includes a certificate of Biblical Studies from Calvary Bible Institute @ Greater Mount Calvary in Washington, DC, and a Master of Divinity in Practical Theology from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA. She enjoys spending her life and ministry with her best friend and husband, Daniel and their son, Shawn.
