About Us

A Welcoming, All Inclusive, Loving Family Church

We invite you to worship with our faith community as we strive to discover God's direction for our lives. We encourage searching minds and spirits as we celebrate together our faith in God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, through the guidance of the Holy Scriptures. Emphasizing individual choice and conviction, members follow the Word of God according to the dictates of their own consciences.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Worship begins at 10am, and is comfortable for those familiar with a worship experience and welcoming to those who are not. Normally, before 10, we are invited into worship with a beautiful gift of instrumental music. The service then begins with a greeting from the Pastor and continues with singing and spoken word elements realized together in a contemporary and casual fashion. The entire service is accompanied by images and information projected up front and easy to follow whether it's your first time or you hundredth. Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of every month, and is open to everyone in attendance. The children gather each Sunday near the beginning of "Big Worship" for a Children's Time up front. They are then invited to participate in their own worship experience for the rest of the church service time in their own Sanctuary downstairs with their teacher. (If you or your child does not feel comfortable leaving the Sanctuary, you are welcome to remain with your child/children in our worship service.) Assisted Hearing Service is available. Just tell the Greeter or Usher your need.

What is the community like?
We are a small, loving church family who embrace people from all backgrounds. We tend to be liberal in our thinking and theology, but do not reject those with more conservative values. Our church family is Open and Affirming, as exemplified by our current pastor who is gay, although most of the congregation is not. We enjoy participating in community service projects together and love creating times to socialize, including every Sunday after church with snacks and beverages, monthly film nights (Spirit & The Screen) and holiday parties.

What if I'm not a Christian?
As we say in every service, "No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, you are welcome here!" We are a progressive church with many ideas of how to be in communion with God. Come explore with us and share your journey.
