Response sent to the publishers of an S.D.A. church Newsletter sent to me---Good afternoon, I noticed in your Newsletter that your Sabbath starting-time notice is calculated to the minute: 4:21 P.M. Calculated to the minute!! Five or six hours later, at ten or eleven at night, deep into the Sabbath, countless Seventh-Day Adventists are still working hard, diligently preparing the fellowship Lunch for Saturday after the sermon in church, and so very many are also cooking meals in church after the sermon, because they want the meals served crisp and hot and some kinds of cooked food become soggy or lose their fresh texture if left overnight, all the same while that the ancient Sabbath Law forbids cooking Sabbath meals on Sabbath---meals had to be prepared the day before. I regularly attend the fellowship lunch at the local Seventh-Day Adventist church, and I have been observing these Sabbath violations happening constantly, constantly, hundreds and hundreds of times during the past 37 years!.
