Our Services

What are services like?
We have four regular Eucharistic services during the week: Two on Sunday morning at 8am and 10am using the Book of Common Prayer--both have music, but 10am tends to have more. Healing is available at both services and also at our Wednesday evening service at 7:30pm. Wednesday night draws from a wide variety of contemporary prayer liturgies. Our Thursday service is at 10am at the Cadbury retirement community here in Lewes. We also have daily prayer every day Monday-Saturday at 8:30am

What is the community like?
Our congregation is friendly, welcoming and warm! We are all ages, with a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences. We are working on providing more resources to youth an young families. We have a strong population of young retired folks (50-60's). We welcome and accept lesbian/gay folks too!

What if I'm not a Christian?
You are still welcome here! We are a place of welcome for every child of God! Our Spiritual gift and book store SEEKERS provides resources for people of all faiths and we strive to find common ground and understanding with all people.

The Rev. Jeffrey Ross

As the Rector and Pastor of Saint Peter's Episcopal Church, I would like to welcome you to our parish webpage! We are glad you have found us and want you to know that if you are looking for a spiritual home, you would be most welcome in our community. Here is a little about me. Since August of 2005, I have served as the Rector of Saint Peter's Episcopal Church which has been in existence for over 300 years and is an active and growing community. We have a strong ministry reaching out to youth, young families, and newly retired adults. We are passionate about our local outreach ministries and our companion relationships with parishes in Mexico and in Haiti. I am a life-long Episcopalian and have been ordained since 1998 (my sister is also a priest!). Prior to ordination, I worked as a family therapist as well as on Bishop's staff for Christian Formation. I am a graduate of the General Theological Seminary and I also hold a Master of Science degree in Pastoral Counseling from Neumann College. My wife has a PhD in Corporate Leadership and she currently serves as the Executive Director of a local art organization. We have a daughter and a son, in high school and middle school respectively. We enjoy swimming, skiing, and traveling, (especially to our vacation home in Vermont!). Personally, I am trying to enhance my novice skills in photography and playing the penny whistle as my official hobbies (along with loving movies, books and theater!).
