What to Expect
Leadership
Rev. Quang Vinh Chu
• Fr. Chu was born in Phan Thiet, north of Saigon City, Vietnam. He then came to America in 1979. • Education: Fr. Chu studied English and electronic technology at Santa Ana College before resuming his studies for the priesthood. He had attended a high school seminary in Vietnam, but was unable to continue his education for the ministry after the fall of Saigon in 1975. He graduated from St. Joseph College, Mountain View, CA and St. John’s Seminary, Camarillo CA. • Ordained: 1991 • 1991–96 Parochial Vicar - St. Nicholas Church in Laguna Woods • 1996–99 Parochial Vicar - St. Boniface Church in Anaheim • 2000–04 Parochial Vicar - St. Columban Church in Garden Grove • 2004–11 Pastor - St. Polycarp Church in Stanton • Father Chu began his assignment as Administrator at St. Mary’s by the Sea Church on July 1, 2011. Among his many interests, Fr. Chu enjoys playing golf and tennis whenever he has time.Location & Directions
