What to Expect

What are services like?
Our worship service is traditional with some occasional contemporary twists. We have a chancel choir that shares weekly in the worship service. We also have a handbell choir that plays monthly. We have a historic pipe organ with a Music Director that plays with a creative flair and enthusiasm. We have a Children's Moment for the young people as well as a Sunday School incentive program. We offer Sunday School for all ages from newborn to senior adults.

What is the community like?
St. Luke's is comprised of a very caring group of people. Members and friends support one another during difficult times and celebrate many happy occasions together as well. The congregation supports the activities of our youth and young people. The congregation is open and welcoming to newcomers. Visitors are greeted warmly and invited and encouraged to participate in worship and activities. Many members gather in the narthex before worship to greet both friends and visitors alike. A short fellowship time is held following worship. Visitors are invited and encouraged to attend. St. Luke's UCC benefits from a strong history and what has been described as a "goodly heritage." Through the years, members have tried to follow Christ and work together in community. This heritage is reflected in the congregation as it worships together today.
