About Us
Crenshaw United Methodist Church was established in 1953 and has served as a pillar in the city of Los Angeles since 1903 as West Adams Methodist Episcopal Church. The church has provided spiritual and financial assistance to numerous area residences and their families. We as a church are commited to strengthen the spiritual well-being of our community and act as messengers of peace and love. Our church is located at 3740 Don Felipe Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90008.

Leadership
Royce Porter Sr.
Since July 2006, Pastor Porter has served as the pastor of Saint John’s UMC in Los Angeles, CA, appointed by Bishop Swenson. Under his leadership, the congregation is accomplishing much. A new outlook on life within the church and the community has been the vision for this congregation. The church has a thriving children and youth ministry, many upgrades have been made within the facility and the church paid there Apportionment in full (2008) for the first time since 1979. In March of 2011 Pastor Porter was asked to lead a 2 point charge with the congregation of Crossroads UMC. Pastor Porter in July 2014 became the appointed pastor of the Crenshaw United Methodist Church.Location & Directions
