What to Expect

What are services like?
The type of service conducted is traditional and reflects the liturgical structure of the historic Christian Church with divisions of Word and Sacrament. The liturgy is a reiteration of God's saving Word for sinners. In the divine service God serves sinners, forgiving them and restoring them in his holy image. We are a people under the cross of Christ Jesus, God's Son. Under his cross Christ speaks to us his forgiving Word and pours upon us the washing and nourishing water and blood that comes from his body pierced wounds. The hymns do their wonderful work in helping to fuse into our memory the redeeming work of Christ Jesus and how he keeps us in faith in him until we are brought into victorious eternal life in heaven where we will with all the saints of his Church be in the presence of God. There we will be free from every evil and serve him continually in everlasting righteousness, innocence, and blessedness.

What is the community like?
The congregation is very warm and friendly. They are away glad to greet visitors and share with them God's love in Christ Jesus. They are joyful givers and doers for the proclamation of Christ.

What if I'm not a Christian?
Then come and be welcomed and hear of the love of Jesus Christ for you. "The Spirit [of God] and the Bride [Christ's Church] say, 'Come.'" (Revelation 22:17).
