Wherever you see the name Saint Barnabas by-the-Bay Church in print, it typically is paired with this line: Where ALL Are Welcome! Folks at Saint Barnabas are a friendly group, an outgoing group, a group happy to welcome you into our church family.

The members of Saint Barnabas by-the-Bay Church emphasize that, as a Christian community, we welcome all who seek to know and serve our Lord Jesus Christ in their spiritual journey. We welcome every person, without regard to age, sex, race, sexual orientation, physical ability, mental ability, spiritual background, past sins, addictions, financial resources, and so on. Just as Jesus does, Saint Barnabas Church welcomes everyone.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Sharing the Good News of Jesus with all in our community so that all may be united with God and one another is the heart of the mission of Saint Barnabas by-the-Bay Church. We welcome everyone, and open our church doors and our hearts as well to all. Great emphasis is placed on liturgy which is holy, prayerful, grace-filled, uplifting, and renewing. We hope that you will experience the presence of the living God when you worship with us at Saint Barnabas.

Saint Barnabas by-the-Bay is a church family where you can meet God in a genuine and personal way you can discover God's purpose for you and your life you are loved and accepted and welcomed you will make friendships that will last a lifetime you will be presented inspiring, encouraging, and useful sermons you will hear holy and joyful music you are more important than your money you are family

Lisa Hoffman

Lisa Hoffman

Rev. Lisa Hoffman is a 2011 graduate of The Protestant Episcopal Theological Seminary in Virginia and was ordained by Bishop Councell in June, 2011, at St. Peter's Church in Freehold. Prior to accepting her call to ministry at St. Barnabas and St. Mary’s, she served at St. Thomas Church in Red Bank as ministry intern, Church of the Ascension in Silver Spring, MD as seminarian and deacon, and as a supply priest in the Episcopal Diocese of New Jersey. She and her husband Jeff have three children. In addition to her calling as Vicar at St. Barnabas, Pastor Lisa serves as outreach minister at St. Mary’s, Stone Harbor.
