Who We Are

The Rural Hall Christian Church is an independent, Bible-believing congregation near Winston-Salem, NC. The church is serious about Bible study and is full of grace. There is a nice mix of ages and blended styles in worship with a family atmosphere.

Our Services

What are services like?
Each week we sing praise to and of Christ with hymns and newer songs; we participate in the Lord's Supper; hear an expository sermon from the Bible; join in a time of prayer for friends and family; and take up an offering for the ongoing ministries. We are constantly trying new things and exploring opportunities to worship and serve more freely and meaningfully.

What is the community like?
We are a friendly and laid-back congregation. We have a good mix of ages from young families with little ones to senior citizens. There really is a family atmosphere as we worship, serve, and play together.

What if I'm not a Christian?
We will not put you on the spot. We promise to engage with you and answer any questions you may have about Christianity, the Bible, and the church. We love to discuss the hard questions in life! We love to add new members, but we are not pushy about it.

Wesley C. McCarter, D.Min.
Pastor

Wesley C. McCarter (DMin, Carolina Graduate School of Divinity) serves as Pastor of the Rural Hall Christian Church near Winston-Salem, NC and as Director of the Doctor of Ministry Program of the Charlotte Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC. Wesley has earned degrees in biblical studies and is now pursuing Ph.D. research in New Testament with the North-West University. A happy husband and proud father of two, he enjoys spending time with his family, the mountains and beaches of NC, training in jiu-jitsu, buying books, watching Netflix, and eating Asian food.
