Michael Blankenship
Senior Pastor

Michael H. Blankenship was born into a loving home along with two younger siblings. Later at the age of four, Michael saw his home disrupted by a divorce. The enemy planted seeds of abandonment and self blame. Due to the divorce, Michael and his two siblings lived with their Grandparents. Michael’s Grandmother was the first to sow the seeds of the Gospel of Jesus into his life and made sure he was in faithful attendance at church even though he did not accept JESUS as his personal Savior. Michael’s Grandmother, Mary, claimed the promise of God that according to Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Later at the age of 10, while Listening to the radio program, “Children’s Bible Hour”, Michael wholeheartedly gave his life to JESUS and was Baptized in the Southern Baptist Church. At the age of 13, Michael entered into the ministry and preached his first sermon at his Grandparent’s Church, Pleasant Hill Community Interdenominational Church. While at Pleasant Hill, Michael learned the importance of the local churches joining together and operating as one unified body to fulfill the Great Commission and be the beacon of hope shining in a world of darkness setting captives free in Jesus’ name. At the age of 14 Michael joined “American Missionary Fellowship” now known as “In Faith” to re-establish and plant churches in the state of Ohio. At the age of 16 Michael became the Assistant Pastor of Mt. Joy Christian church while working full time in ministry as a Summer Missionary being a Camp Counselor and worked his way up to becoming Camp Director of Mt. Hope Bible Camp. After graduating high school, Brother Michael enrolled into Appalachian Bible College where he completed two years of the accredited course of Bible / Missions. During his time at Appalachian Bible College he served as the President of Campus Mission Fellowship and then was elected to be the President of the mission board for the school ensuring that students were united with various mission sending agencies to spread the Gospel Globally. Due to financial challenges and an unimaginable attack of the enemy, Michael stepped out of full time ministry and stepped into the secular workforce. Michael’s life as a full time minister taught him to be a servant to others as Christ served the Church. This became very valuable as he started his first secular job at JC Penney as a Janitor and worked his way into a full time commission family shoe sales associate. The success caught the eye of a recruiter of Marshall Fields Department Stores and he began management of several departments. Federated Department Stores a.k.a. Lazarus Department Stores recruited Michael to enroll in their management training program. Successfully completing the course, the corporate offices of Macy’s hired him as an Executive Manager. During the recession after 9/11, Michael moved from Columbus, Ohio to Pigeon Forge, TN. While working, his future bride recognized the call of God upon his life and began to show the love of JESUS to Michael and nine months later, Michael re-dedicated his life to Christ and then married his loving bride, Lori. In 2006, Michael & Lori established Promised Nations Ministries International, Inc. Feeling the urgency of full time ministry, JESUS led them into bringing ministry into the marketplace. They have traveled the entire eastern seaboard as well as traveling all of the mid-west doing Jewelry and Home Shows while Evangelizing. Michael and Lori saw many transformed by JESUS. In 2011, the Lord led them to Johnson City, TN and became the Assistant Pastors of The House Of Faith And Worship. In 2015, JESUS compelled them to hold weekly house prayer meetings in the basement of their home and the Lord through these meetings established the church they now pastor, Resurrection Power. Michael continues to serve full time in ministry as the Founder and President of Promised Nations Ministries, International, Inc. Training, equipping and uniting churches to win the lost at any cost and make disciples of Jesus. Pastor Michael is The Senior Pastor of Resurrection Power. Comments
