Scott Kidd
Father Scott Kidd was born in Marietta, Georgia, a suburb of metro Atlanta. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Excelsior College in New York, and a Master of Divinity with an Anglican Studies Certificate from Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta. Scott was ordained as Deacon in 1998 at the Cathedral of St. Philip and assigned to the parish of St. Teresa’s in West Cobb where he served for seven years. He also served for 10 years as Chaplain of a residential addiction recovery program for homeless men in Marietta. In January 2006 Father Scott was ordained to the priesthood at Christ Episcopal Church in Macon where he served as Assistant Rector for 11/2 years. In June 2007 Resurrection extended a call to Father Scott to serve as rector. Scott is active in the diocese. He has been the Spiritual Director for New Beginnings, and the Spiritual Director for the Cursillo movement in the Diocese of Atlanta. Father Scott currently serves on the Standing Committee. He is married to Patty, and they have 4 children.Location & Directions
