I went to Refresh Calvary for almost 9 months. I helped Pastor Don set up his mobile trailer every single Sunday faithfully at 7 AM / 8 am in the morning And then I would stay after church and help him load up his massive trailer and be one of the last people to leave the school campus I also took care of Pastor Don’s church signs. The really big ones that you put on the street. I had like eight of them that I kept at my house and I would wake up really early on Sunday at like 6 AM or put them out Saturday evening all the way up and down Bell Road before going and helping Pastor Don unload his huge trailer at 7 AM on Sunday morning. And then after church, I down Bell Road in traffic and try to load them all back up in the back of my truck. . I came to that church and I served and I served and I served with a “servant’s heart “ During this time, Pastor and I had hundreds of discussions over text message regarding: Donald Trump Zionism, the nation state of Israel and mixing Christianity with politics Although I loved Pastor Don, Pastor Don called me one day extremely upset on the phone because I would not SUMBIT to his teaching that I need to support the Nation state of Israels wars and government …pastor believes like his good friend Jack Hibbs said live “you can’t be a Christian and not support Israel.” He called me extremely upset very agitated calling me a Jew hater!!!! telling me I had hate in my heart!!! LIES.!!!! He DEMANDED that I submit to him and that I allow him to “take authority over the situation” because he was my pastor. IT WAS NUTS!!!! ABSOLUTELY NUTS what he did was extremely un pastoral and uncalled for and rude!!!. Pastor Don proceeded to tell me not to show up on Sunday and help him unload his trailer after 9 months of faithfully serving him because he was upset I wouldnt let him brainwash me with his propaganda !!!!! he flew off the handles and lost control of the situation ….so guess what I did. … I NEVER showed back up EVER again And I left and I went to a different church and I love it ….They don’t preach politics from the pulpit they don’t tell you “shame on you if you don’t vote.” They don’t belittle you and tell you that “God might not be blessing you because you don’t support Israel's wars. They don’t call me a Jew hater cause I’m horrified of 20,000 innocent Palestinian children being slaughtered to death. I did not go to Refresh Calvary to be belittled shamed and yelled at by my pastor and judged. The things that Pastor Don said to me the way he spoke down to me the way he denigrated me is not what I’m looking for in a pastor The Bible says that “Jesus became a curse for us to redeem us from the course”. I don’t have a curse on my life Pastor Don because I don’t support killing and murder and genocide . Jesus said blessed are the peacemakers … I believe Pastor Don has a sincere heart, but he is seriously misguided in his theology and his preaching. It is a very small click/group of people, and if you don’t believe the way that they do, you will feel completely ostracized like I did and you will be told by your pastor that God might not be blessing you because you don’t support Israel’s wars. Why would a pastor say such a horrible thing to another Christian believer and try to make another Christian believer think that God has turned his back on him because of his views on killing children.???? oh, he also brings this Jew guy to preach Jewish propaganda from the pulpit which I do not believe in by the way and many things that his guest speaker says who he brings in every now and then is bery unbiblical I don’t need to be told by my “shame on you if you didn’t vote.“ And I don’t need to be yelled at by my pastor on the phone for my personal beliefs regarding personal opinions on important issues .. I don’t have conflicts with my current Pastor and I never will because he doesn’t preach this garbage and he doesn’t treat me the way pastor Don treated me. I have no unforgiveness towards him, but I am giving you a heads up if you’re planning on going there, make sure that you believe the things that they do or you will not fit in and you may end up leaving like I did

My wife and I have been going to Refresh Calvary for over a year now and think they are great! Very friendly, and the Pastor teaches line by line. They also offer many events and study groups. They also have an outstanding micro school.
